Immigration
We must always help anyone who is running from danger.
I enjoy the diverse nature of modern Britain but we cannot take everyone.
We now have a points system that I had called for for many years in order to decide whom to allow in much like the Americans, Canadians and Australians use. At the moment the system is still full of holes.
We do need to allow a level of immigration. Don't forget that a very large number of British people go and live in other countries.
Understanding and interaction has never benefited from isolation and ignorance.

I do want people to understand that to live here means to speak and read enough English to get by (no need to be fluent) and to integrate as much as possible.
