Things I am in favour of

A vote on the EU constitution.

A proper education for our children so that they leave school able to read, write, and do arithmetic.

Proper jobs and futures for all.

The National Health service  (although I would do away with a lot of managers and facilitators).

A properly regulated immigration policy.

Modifications to the Human Rights Act.

An end to our troops being sent on adventures abroad that do not bring greater security benefits for the UK.

The re-equipping of the armed forces so that they are provided with the equipment and training to do the tasks asked of them.

The re-establishment of a manufacturing base in the UK.

A change to the AV voting system

Keeping FM radios rather than forcing everyone to throw away perfectly good radios and replacing them with DAB sets.

An end to the MPs expenses scandal.

MPs no longer being able to employ members of their own family (or members of another MPs family).

An end to the liberal alcohol sales and extended licensing laws  

A minimum price per unit for alcohol  (it should not be cheaper than water in a supermarket).

Putting the pedestrian crossing lights back on the opposite side of crossings.
