Once again I am asking you to take care the 1.5 % drop in the interest rate should not encourage you to spend up to your credit limit. It is better to have a very quiet Christmas rather than loose your home next year when interest rate could rise again. I have been advising caution for several years now and today the IMF agree with me. The IMF are expecting the downturn here in the UK to be worse than almost anywhere else.
Thursday 6th November 2008
Today we have the Bank of England’s monthly announcement re interest rates. I do not believe that meddling with the interest rate is helping our problems. As I have said before the government is trying to fix the wrong problem. Interest rate need to remain at a level that discourages irresponsible lending and borrowing, a return to business as usual is the last thing that we need. It is of course also true that base rate changes are not being fed through to the end user anyway as the banks look for new avenues to finance their poor decision making.
Wednesday 5th November 2008
President elect Obama has an uphill struggle ahead of him; expectation has been raised on so many fronts by so many people, groups and nations that he cannot help but fail many different fractions of society. It is not only on the big issues of the day but almost down to personal issues such as my toothache and the price of a bag of chips in the local shop. People around the world are now looking for all their problems to have been solved and there is a worry that these people will stop trying to help themselves and just wait. There is another problem that will eventually come to haunt the new administration and that is that the president’s party has made major gains in the house of representatives and the senate, when history is written the questions about why everything did not go well when the party had a real grip on power may need to be asked and answered.
I think that the American people and many others around the world hold an unreal expectation of what can be done even if the desire to achieve is there. Only time will tell.
Tuesday 04th November 2008
So we wait now until tomorrow morning in order to see who will become the president of America, our media is full of stories filed by presenters who are more than happy to be paid to go to America to report for us. It matters very little who wins the American election, the economic stupidity will make it impossible for many positive changes to be made within the USA and as America always puts its own interests first it is not likely that the rest of the world will be treated any better. If I were to be able to offer advice the new US president it would be that America must start interacting and stop trying to dictate.
Wednesday 29th October 2008
It is not often that a radio programme attracts so much attention is it (Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross Radio 2)? I have disliked the work of many of our new presenters and felt discomfort at their contribution to the undermining of the very fabric of our society.
If you or I damaged our employer to the same extent then we would expect to be fired and our references would be so bad that we may never work again.
The presenters and those who were responsible for the transmition of the programme should be fired forthwith and not allowed to work in media again; this broadcast was more than a mistake.
Also
I note that the government is still trying to re-write the work of Keynes (the economist). We are sleep walking into an even bigger disaster all due to the fact that our leaders do not understand the tools that they are trying to use. I have offered my services to No 10 but they have failed to be in contact. As one of the most read local political websites I know that I am being heard in Westminster but ignored.
Also
Once again the loss of our data is in the news. Rather than allowing data to be moved around as it is at the moment it should be treated rather more like money in a bank, i.e. no one is allowed to remove the work from secure buildings, if they need to work on the information they have to work on it in a military style secure site which they will visit in order to do their work. National data in transit must be conducted with a military escort and not just bunged in an envelope or put on a data stick or taken from the office to be left on a train.
Wednesday 15th October 2008
Our leaders are still not dealing with the problems at the heart of the 'credit crunch' and what is worse they are using ideas and terms that they do not understand. One or two are now mentioning Keynes which is good but, Keynes policy works in a national system where the government control the taxes and origins of the goods bought (ie made within the state) Keynes policies were not formed to work in an open market world economy. It is important that our government does not spend money without first understanding the workings of the policy that they are quoting, as it is they stand a good chance of making the situation even worse.
I keep hearing people say that "We could not have predicted the problems that we have"
YES WE COULD AND YES WE DID
No one was listening but there was a strand of opinion that I belong to that pointed out the foolishness of the last 10 years which itself was built upon a foolish notion of private ownership of just about everything.
Up until 1999 there was a law that separated the activities of banks and stock markets, the law was enacted to stop the situation that lead to the Wall Street crash from happening again. In 1999 the law was repealed !!!
Monday 13th October 2008
I am not happy today ! I see that the government still have not understood the problem, if the economy was a car then they are cleaning the windows in order to fix a puncture.
Thursday 9th October 2008
The moves made by our government yesterday will not fix the economy, we remain on the road to ruin, they are trying to fix the wrong problem. There is a school of thought to which I belong that way back 8 years ago pointed to the flaws in the mystery money economic model. We need to manufacture goods here in the UK, we must not borrow money based on the notional rise in value of a commodity or asset. Anything only has a value at the point that you sell it and receive the money AND NOT BEFORE. If you have invested or borrowed unwisely then that is the risk that you take ! You would not have come looking to share your profit if the situation had been reversed ! The effect of the money made available to the economy yesterday is the devaluation of our currency. The recession ( and possible depression ) will be with us for some time yet and the effects felt for many years as the cut backs in services that the government provides start to bite.
The answer is in a house price collapse to about 60% of their high figure, and a law to make it impossible to borrow ( from any source ) more that 3.5 % of your salary, manufacturing to be brought back to the UK and our politicians need to go back to read Keynes.
Friday 26th September 2008
Oh dear ! we have much catching up to do,
The plan to give billions of Pounds / Dollars to the markets is a very bad idea. The deals that the markets have done have gone bad and individuals have borrowed far to much money, the answer is not to try and prop up this stupidity the answer is that these deals have to be allowed to fail. The better way forward would be for governments to buy reposed houses and rent them to the people that could not pay the mortgage, the right to buy legislation should be scrapped and house prices should be allowed to fall to a realistic level. As for financial institutions and banks they should be allowed to fail with no bailouts (this is the nature of the free market).
At the heart of the world financial problems is the fact that borrowing became detached from the assets that provided the guarantee, we must remove the smoke and mirrors that became knowledge and return to lending based upon assets and ability to pay, if we don’t we will return to this point again in the future (have we really learnt nothing from history ?)
I note that our “Special relationship” with America does not include the US treasury secretary agreeing to meet with our Prime Minister ! the reason given was that the US secretary was “to busy”.
As you may know I support the idea of central control of essential services, I am amazed and distressed that we have just sold our nuclear power plants to the French. Most of our essential services are now owned by foreign companies, this is not a good idea.
Monday 22nd September 2008
If the reports from the Labour party conference are accurate it shows a lack of understanding of the Keynesian model upon which the attendant rhetoric is based.
It worries me that the Prime Minister and the Chancellor do not understand the policy levers that they are talking about.
Keynes was talking about a state contained economy and not a globalised interdependent model, the idea of spend in a recession only works if the products are produced in the state and the tax revenues that are raised by the increased employment are spent within the state.
If we just borrow more money and import more goods (because we do not have a manufacturing sector) the employment advantages and the tax revenue stream that come from the new employments do not accrue here and the company profits that would allow for investment by those companies does not happen.
Sunday 21st September 2008
I do not think that the idea of the central banks handing out money like it is confetti will fix the problems in the markets. The effect of the input of the money will be to devalue the currency which will of course means that imports become far more expensive whilst exports become cheaper, the problem is that we no longer export vast quantities of goods due to the contraction of our industrial base. The real cure to the problem is to devalue the price of houses to the point that they are affordable and then tie house price rises to the rate of inflation, houses should be places to live and not viewed as piggy banks. I often talk to people who tell me that they cannot get on the property ladder, this means that they ultimately intend to try to sell it for a profit thus they don't mind if by their actions others cannot afford to buy a home so long as they make money. To be sure that this situation does not return, house must become and remain affordable and we must build up our manufacturing base. To try and repair the situation with smoke and mirrors will not help anyone, it may even make the situation worse. I have noted that whilst the market makers were making money and big bonuses they were happy little capitalists and it was right for the markets to destroy the weak but the minute the markets collapsed these same people rushed to become socialist and ask for a hand out "we are all in this together and we must share the pain". The banks should have been allowed to fail and the deal makers should have been left to their own mess. This crisis is not over yet.
Monday 08th September 2008
I attended a meeting the other day where I was asked my opinion on the growing number of people who are allowed to spy on our phone records, movements and other normal everyday activities such as the contents of your rubbish bin. I would fight to reduce the number of people and jobsworths who have these extended rights to pry, we do not need them and I do not want them. The government and its agencies have an abysmal record when it comes to keeping our data secure and they do not need to be encouraged by these secret police type developmen
Sunday 07th September 2008
Normally I would have mentioned this in the Blog but I felt that it is so important that I would tell you all about it here ! Just recently the number of times I have got to a shop checkout and the price of the goods has not been the same as that on the shelf has gone up, in one case by 300%. Do be careful, do not be embarrassed into buying goods at high prices, the big stores are as bad as the big ones, check your receipts. If you are overcharged at the till, the store has broken the law
Saturday 06th September 2008
So the government of the day remain under pressure, the economy is is a bad way, unemployment is rising, we are still fighting wars that we cannot afford and the price of keeping warm this winter may be this years biggest killer. The problems were caused by a lack of ability at the top, the Blair / Brown government was a disaster, why were we borrowing so much on the international markets if our economy was in such great shape ? Why were people allowed to borrow so much money to help fund foolish levels of house prices.
When house prices have finally fallen to their more natural level which may be as low as only 60% of the high point, there should be changes made that stop house prices rising at more than the annual rate of inflation plus the actual cost of any improvements made. Houses should be places to live and not seen as imaginary piggy banks, the idea that you could borrow money against the rise in value of your home was always flawed, a house only has a given value after you have sold it for that amount. A notional value of any asset is exactly that ( a notion ) the money is also notional until you have received it.
I am not happy about the CERN project that will slam particals into each other at the speed of light to try to make a black hole next Wednesday. I was worried about Hoodies, carrier bags, fuel and house prices. How come we seem to bring forth so many problems at both ends of our society ?
The answer to the high price of gas is not a windfall tax, the government needs to force the supply companies to build storage sites, some European countries store up to 3 months supply. The extra storage would be used to store the cheap gas that we sell to other countries during the summer, the stored gas would be used by us during the winter.
I still feel that Gas, electricity, water, main phone system, railway and other core needs should be controlled by the government ! and yes it could be done without a return to the inefficient nationalised industry model of yesteryear. Not everything should be done for fiscal profit, the continuation of the country is dependent upon social profits that cannot be shown on a traditional balance sheet.
Friday 22nd August 2008
Today it has been reported that yet again important personal data has been lost, the economy is in bigger trouble than they had admitted and that the housing market is in deep dodo. Nothing changes does it ! It is nice to see that the Government is pleased at the number of medals athletes representing this country have achieved, I hope that this will inspire them to stop building on, selling off and allowing schools to be built that do not have school playing fields.
Monday 18th August 2008
The actions of Russia in Georgia as almost the same as the Americans (with our help) in Iraq, Invade a sovereign nation, Save the people from oppression, "Oh look we seem to have taken over control of a vital resource, we had better control it for the good of the people !!"
Does America really still believe that installing missile systems in Eastern Europe will be seen as protection against an undefined threat ?
I note that we will not now be able to see how much of our money our MPs are spending, they are so scared of what you might think that they are prepared to change the Freedom Of Information Act to make sure that you do not find out.
Sunday 27th July 2008
In the news today was yet another story about drunken passengers on an aircraft putting the plane in danger, Why are passengers who have had alcohol allowed to get on an aeroplane ? Why are flights allowed to carry alcohol ? Why are flight attendants allowed to serve alcohol ? Air travel and alcohol do not mix, all passengers and crew should be breathalysed before being allowed to board, alcohol should not be allowed in passenger luggage and airports should not be allowed to sell alcohol. Profit is not a good enough reason to put an aircraft at risk.
Friday 25th July 2008
We have been told this week how benefits claimants are to be set to work doing menial tasks in order to carry on receiving benefits, we have heard all this before and whilst it screams off the pages of the newspapers no one ever seems to raise the point that this is really dealing with the wrong problem. A proper education and career prospect in places of work such as successive governments of every colour have seen fit to close and the jobs go abroad, would be a far more constructive approach. Self reliance and pride do need to be built upon a bedrock of society, society that is properly maintained by government. The problem is that it is all too easy to blame the victim rather than deal with the cause. I want to see people taken off benefits and found proper employment, not put on to make work scheme.
Friday 18th July 2008
Well I have seen it all now, if only we could all play fast and loose with the fiscal reserves. It will not help us ride out the downturn if the government borrows even more money, we should have built up the reserves during the so called good time so that we could weather the storm. The best way forward would be to stop spending on some of the silly things that the government supports now.
The company that are failing to mark the SATs exams should be summarily dismissed with no hope of any severance payment, they have broken the contract by not doing the job they were paid to do, they are a disgrace as is the system that installed them in the first place.
Thursday 17th July 2008
I wonder if your thoughts have turned the way mine have ! Gordon Brown told us that he is not going to impose the extra 2p tax on petrol that he had intended to do........but the way I see it is that the price of petrol has a high level element of tax so as the price has risen over the last few months, the tax take has also risen, therefore you are already paying an elevated tax on petrol.
I think that the Home Office are being sweetly naive in their approach to intercepting communications, they want to make a data base of all our phone calls, text messages, emails, and web searches that we make, this would be in addition to the Echelon system that monitors communications already, not only is the idea a monster but it fails to realise that there will be a growth in non track-able communications of which there are many. You only have to look to the war years or the days of the soviet union to see some examples of communicating without detection, whilst I do not intend to discuss them here there are of course many modern means of non monitor-able communication available. The more oppressive the state the more devious those who would oppose it. We are now a more closely monitored population than any other since time began, even George Orwell would be impressed. Our freedom sometimes feels VERY restricive. A better solution would be to repair our broken and directionless society.
Wednesday 16th July 2008
It is interesting to note that with all the talk about knife crime and how evil young people can be that no-one has addressed the fact that these children are a product of of the society that we have created, if we want better young people then we must provide a better education and opportunities for real employment with real possibilities for individual fulfilment. If you want your rule set to be followed you must allow everyone a place and chance of fulfilment within the structure.
Friday

Well I admit it I was surprised when last night MPs did not vote to pay themselves the full amount recommended by the pay review but the 2.25 % is still rather more than many of their constituents will get, especially when you consider travel costs and other expenses that MP’s can claim and the rest of us can not ! Backbench MP’s will now be paid £62.500 a year. The MP’s also voted to keep the so called “ John Lewis list “. The roll of shame has spared no party from inclusion ( includes cabinet ministers ). The vote means that, the Additional Costs Allowance, of about £24,000 to help pay for a second home near Parliament stays.
155 MP's did in fact vote for an above-inflation 4.7 per cent rise for next year. The move was defeated. The Additional Costs Allowance vote was won by 172 to 144. 146 Labour MP's, including many ministers, voted to keep the allowance.

Much has happened since I was last able to post a report due to a website problem that has now been cured. The run off travesty has taken place in Zimbabwe and still the world does nothing to help the people, Labour have lost yet another by-election and the Scottish labour leader has thrown in the towel. The economy is struggling ever harder, and the predictable house price crisis bites ever harder. Food prices are rising even faster than the price of fuel. unemployment figures are on the rise.
In response to all this turmoil what is the response of one of our Labour MPs ? " I don't understand why everyone feels so miserable !! "
Thursday 12th June 2008
Today is an important day and yet it really feels as if there is a directive from some arm of government to down play the significance of the event. Today the people of Ireland vote on the Lisbon constitution which has the power to fundamentally change the nature and operational remit of the EU. It is important that the people of Ireland vote against this monstrous legislation, Ireland is the only EU nation where the government has not reneged on a promise to hold a referendum. It is comforting to remember that the enabling bill that was passed when we joined this club contained a get out clause that does allow us to pick and choose what we accept and what we wish to modify. This is a power that no government now or in the future has the power to dismiss. The voice of the people of Ireland will be the deciding factor for us all for now.
Thursday 5th June 2008
I attended the meeting re polly clinics ( one size fits
no-one walk in centres ) at the Norwich City Football ground last night. The
meeting was billed as a consultation and the paperwork was produced by
Communications and Patient and Public involvement Department. My
understanding of a consultation is that there will be an exchange of views
where influence is bi-directional, this was not the case last night.
If you remove the pretty slides and the presentation element of this meeting
the facts are
1 The government has decided that these polly clinics will be provided
regardless of public wish or need.
2 In the case of the Norwich clinic there is no new funding to provide the
service (costs will be derived from growth capital, which can only be
guessed at )
3 The centre will most likely not be in the centre of Norwich.
4 Funding shortfall will be met from the existing budget which will by
definition deplete the current service provision.
5 The Dussindale walk in centre is not safe from closure.
Rather than close the Dussindale centre and waste money by setting up new
provision elsewhere with no obvious advantage, it would be cheaper and
better to provide GP cover at Dussindale, (the lack of a GP is the great
flaw with what we have).
Friday 23rd May 2008
I was asked the other day how I feel about the production of hybrid cow / human embryos, I do not think that this is a good thing to be doing and I would have voted against it.
Wednesday 21st May 2008
I wonder what you think to the debates in Parliament at the moment about fertility and abortion, I would like to have seen a 14 week date taken as the latest allowable and even then only under very special circumstances, science has moved on and babies born ever earlier are surviving. I think that we are in danger of destroying our society by the way in which we are changing the family structure, I do believe that a child needs a mother and a father.
Monday 7th April 2008
Maybe I've missed something ! What do you think ? Does a rugby tackle, smash with a truncheon or a smack in the face with a fist or a knee feel better if it is administered by a Chinese authority figure in Tibet, or if it is the security figures in London or Paris or anywhere else ? China invaded a nation state TIBET. We must be able to speak of these things and demonstrate against this injustice that has so far not been dealt with in the UN. To be beaten and arrested into submission is not much better than being in Tibet.
Sunday 6th April 2008
I have just spent the day watching what looked like The London authorities FREE TIBET marathon, The all day news coverage was a fantastic thing, I am disappointed at the very heavy handed approach to policing the event, and that the officer in charge told the BBC that it was appropriate ( It was not ).
Friday 14th March 2008
I am so so please to see that the expense claims of MPs are to be made public, the retrospective application of this rule means that we will see real reality rather than some tidied up version, I expect that we will see some real squirming from those who seek to tell us how to live.
Why does the state not own a block of furnished flats for MPs to live in whilst they are in office which is handed to the new intake directly after an election ? This would be cheaper in the long run than the system that we have now.
Thursday 13th March 2008
I am happy to see that MPs will have to show what their expenses money was used for if it is over £25, it is about time.
It looks like the truth about our economy is starting to bite, those of us who have been able to see that it was all held together by smoke and mirrors since about 2000 may now feel somewhat superior but that does not help the economy. What will help the economy is when we start to produce and use things in this country rather than importing everything. We need to slow the stream of migrant workers form both within and without the EU. We also need to put in place a system that stops house prices rising by more than the rate of inflation.
From today I have decided to date stamp these entries in the same way as those found on the blog page.
In today's news we have learnt that a points based scheme has been introduced for people wishing to come to our country to live, this is the system that is used by many other countries. I welcome the introduction of this scheme but I do wish that it could be applied to the EU member states as well. We also need to look at the way in which we deprive other nations of their desperately needed skilled personnel such as doctors, nurses, scientists, business leaders and teachers by advertising to fill our own vacancies, this does seem to be immoral.
Should everyone be on the DNA database ? If you think no then you may be disappointed to find out that there is a way in which you may be effectively on the database already. If DNA is found at a crime scene it is checked against the 4 million DNA sample data base for matches, a close match may give a family name and therefore put people who do not appear directly on the database in the frame to be considered, thus it is as if you are on the database by default.
My own
answer to this question is NO we should not all be required to be on this
database.
So we now
know that American rendition flights (transporting people to possibly be
tortured) did land on British soil, I recommend that all American flights
are subject to physical checks in order to prevent any further 'clerical
errors'.
So Norfolk County Council and Norwich City Council think that the councils are doing enough to maintain the road markings in the area !! I really, really do have to disagree and I think that the Road Traffic Act does too.

I have tried to let this thought go for a couple of days now, but it just will not go away ! Would you think that this person is dressed like a police officer, dark clothes, shiny shoes etc ? Is that against the rules ?
As you may
know, I am not sure that giving members of the public speed trap guns is a
good idea. The citizens in this picture were standing in the middle of a
side road, at a junction, in dense fog, playing with a speed trap device,
whilst looking for people being foolish ! The swirling fog dropped the
visibility to about 10 yards at various times. These people are putting
themselves and others at risk by their actions. There are school children
crossing the road in the last picture.
Thorpe End 18-02-2008 approx 3.30pm
So once more we face the prospect of GM crops being grown in the region, there is an attempt to keep the locations secret but as we live in one of the biggest rural areas of the country you can be fairly sure that some of it would be grown here. I remain opposed to the growing of these experimental crops in the open due to the unknown effects of a wide range of cross pollinations and other interactions. once this genie is out of the bottle it cannot be put back.
Sharia law in the UK ? NO,We have a system of laws in this country and those are the ones that are to be obeyed. I am not suggesting that people should not be allowed to settle here but if they do they must obey our laws or leave.
The media is full of stories about the obesity problems that we face and for years I have thought about the fact that it is all to easy to choose a poor diet. I have a couple of ideas that you may wish to think about !
1) The introduction of a tax ( that manufacturers would pay ) based upon the fat and calorie content of the products that they manufacture, this would encourage the production of less fat and less calorie foods but leave choices for shoppers.
2) The introduction of a system which allows all UK fruit and Veg ( in season ) to be supplied free of charge to everyone. This is somewhat a dream I know but it would allow those on restricted incomes a good quality diet which would improve the general level of health, and reduce many of the problems that the health service has to fix and that cost the nation a fortune.

If you have pictures of this sort of behaviour send them to me .
These people were not disabled and as you can see the bay is obvious ( Sainsbury's Pound Lane 28-01-2008 )
The national and local press today have run stories about why the police deserve a better deal because of the work that they do. When you join the police force you know what you are joining, if it is not what you want to do you could find something else. Thousands of people do heroic deeds every day for a fraction of the wage that police officers get so surely they need the same level of payment and conditions (but they won't ever match even the current deal). The police should have their pay award as agreed i.e. 2.5% but, they are not forced to do the job, if they stay they must improve.
------------------
I am in favour of the reduction of speed limits in built up areas but I am not sure that giving speed guns to members of the public is a good idea, What if one of the operators has a grudge against someone ? What if a reported person decided to take some form of revenge action ? What if the operators are just incompetent ? Does a letter generated by a report stay on some ones file and if it does what will that do to the court process ( is it proof ? ). I want law and safety on our roads delivered by the police, not a Granny or Granddad who probably cannot even programme their video machine.
------------------
Driving without insurance should carry a life ban and the vehicle should be crushed. People who drink and drive should be treated in the same way.
------------------
The new way to fund care for people who want to live at home rather than go into a care home is to give them or a relative some money so that they can buy their own services THIS IS A BAD IDEA, A VERY BAD IDEA. If you have looked at other areas of this site ( and I am sure that you have ) you will already know what I think about trying to turn people in need into 'customers' or 'clients'. It is a way in which central government dumps its responsibility to its citizens and when things go wrong tells the citizen that it is their problem, their responsibility and that they brought it all on themselves via the choices they made and therefore the government cannot intervene.
How are we to know if the money for care is being spent wisely and or not being siphoned off by a relative or other intermediary ? How long before the horror stories of an abused elderly person surface as a relative or other person is seen to be rather richer ? Stop this foolishness and think again, we will all be old one day. We do need change but this is not the change that we need, it is a horror story in the writing.
------------------
If invading Iraq was to bring an end to the suffering of the people when are we going to invade Zimbabwean and remove Mugabe ? or don't the people there have an equal right to protection from a tyrant ?
------------------
I fully support the call for a referendum on the EU constitution
------------------
I am opposed to the Norwich City Unitary Council bid.
------------------
Norwich should be ashamed of it's war memorial. Perhaps it is time once more for the people to raise by public subscription the money needed to repair this monument, and pay our debts to those who gave everything. A trust will need to be setup in order to look after the funds raised.
------------------
I am opposed to the NDR ( The new North Norwich ring road that would go nowhere and ruin so much ).
------------------
I am very much in favour of recycling but the scheme has to be practical, easy to use and understand, and the same system right across the country.
------------------
I find our 'Tick Box' and 'Do Nothing' administrators very frustrating.
------------------
The Dussindale Walk In centre should have a doctor on duty whenever the centre is open or be closed down.
------------------
I think that Home Information Packs (HIPS) are an expensive waste of time, the sooner they are scrapped the better. Would you really buy a house without having your own survey done ?
------------------
Council provided allotments should be half the current standard size in order to make more allotments available and to make hiring one a truly viable proposition for many more people. There would be nothing to stop someone hiring 2 allotments if there were spare ones available. A few full size allotments should remain available at each site (available only to those that tend it properly and only when and if available)
------------------
I fully support the move to make able bodied people who park in the special disabled persons parking bays at supermarkets pay for their thoughtless behaviour.
------------------
It should be illegal to build homes on flood plains !!
------------------
The needs of disabled people have been ignored for far too long and the legislation that is in place is often carefully sidestepped with inadequate provision.
------------------
I would like to see an end to the annual Halloween tyranny.
Not in the news but it should be !!!
Why don't all houses have sprinkler systems fitted as a legal requirement ?
Is your employer breaking Health and Safety Law ( let me know )
International notes
I think that Russia is right to be worried by the intention of America to build missile sites in eastern Europe
The way America is behaving is having a destabilising effect.
So the Americans now say that Iran has not been developing nuclear weapons after all !!
